Program for international students
The IUT of Orsay ("Institut Universtaire de Technologie", a university-based institute of technology) has been welcoming for several years international students, mostly from China, holders of a Gaokao or equivalent secondary degree, in the departments of Chemistry, Computer Science, and Applied Physics and Instrumentation.
The IUT delivers a DUT degree ("Diplôme Universtaire de Technologie") after a two-year post-secondary technological university-based program. This degree can lead to further studies in an L3 university program (3rd year post-secondary) followed by a Masters degree, or in engineering schools.
After a one-semester training in the French Language (FLE, "Français Langue Étrangère") in China, followed by another one-semester FLE training at the IUT of Orsay validated by a French language degree (DU-FLE, "Diplôme Universitaire de Français Langue Étrangère"), students are admitted to the IUT programs leading to a DUT in the chosen specialty.
ACADEMIC CALENDAR :
- June 2019 : admission to the DU-FLE program
- August 2019 - January 2020 : French language training in partner training centers of the country of origin
- February 2020 : admission to the IUT of Orsay after the issuance of the visa
- February 2020 - July 2020 : training in French (FLE) and awarding of the DU-FLE degree
- September 2020 - July 2022 : DUT program
- Septembre 2022: further studies in L3-Master or in engineering schools.
